should be free for everyone.

gargé.studio is an independent, open-source research collective. We conduct rigorous empirical work across economics, health policy, education, and energy — and we publish every result for free, before peer review even begins.

We believe transparency is not a courtesy — it is the minimum standard for science. Every dataset, every line of analysis code, and every pre-registration document is released under a permissive license the moment we start a project.

Real problems don't respect departmental boundaries. Our work is deliberately interdisciplinary — an endometriosis paper is also a labor-market paper; a solar adoption study is also a social-networks paper. We follow the question wherever it leads.

Reproducibility is non-negotiable. We ship a Docker image, a preregistration, and a one-click reproduction script with every publication. If you cannot rerun it, we did not do it.

We are not a university department. We have no grant committees, no tenure clocks, and no publication quotas. We work on what matters, publish what we find, and share everything under CC-BY 4.0.
